Bettors Fading on Jets and 49ers, Backing Packers, Cowboys and Cardinals
NFL bettors have started fading on the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers, as each of the two teams has seen the lines move against them during the offseason wagering online and in Las Vegas.
The Cardinals, Cowboys and Packers however have received support during this offseason and odds have move in their favor.
Gamblers have been laying points with the Seahawks, Giants, Packers, and Steelers as favorites against the 49ers and have taken the points with the Bengals and Vikings as two dogs versus the Niners.
In a similar situation the Dolphins, Colts, Cowboys and Giants have been bet up to a bigger favorite spread in games versus the New York Jets. The Week 1 game for the Jets is against the Cleveland Browns and that is the exception, as New York was bet to -3 chalk from -1 in this game.
The Lions, Chiefs and Seahawks have been bet against a number of times.
Meanwhile, Green Bay has been quite the popular play. The Packers spread in four games has moved in its favor. The Packers in one of those four games were bet to -3 from -2.5. That game is at home on September 20 against Seattle. Seattle and Green Bay are the co-favorites to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy as the winner of Super Bowl 50. Each team is currently being offered on futures boards at 5 to 1 odds.
The Cardinals and Cowboys have been supported nicely this offseason. Bettors are laying points with the Cowboys versus the Jets, Eagles and Giants and backing Arizona as chalk against the Ravens and Saints and as a road dog at Seattle in mid November.
Of course, as the training camps open later this month and preseason games start, the odds likely will change especially if there are injuries that take place prior to the start of the 2015 regular season.
